3-08-06

Today was one of those days that I wish not to repeat because it wasn't what I had planned, but it didn't turn out too bad.

I went to my doctor appointment--good news, I'm doing much better.

I then spent the next few hours at our scripture class. My two oldest sons went to watch the children while we had a special luncheon for a dear friend. We count this as service hours.

We then went to Duvall for the younger children's movement class. I was supposed to discuss the rest of the Mexican-American war but I was so tired I slept.

When we got home we didn't have much time before I had to do the carpool run for cub scouts. I did have enough time to mask off Jessie's new bedroom (we hope to paint it this weekend). I took Kray with me to the craft store to buy some more beads. He has started a jewelry making business. He is making some pink and purple necklaces for Jessie's ballet classmates. I'm actually very proud of his work. This is part of school--occupational education.

We lost power this afternoon while I was running the carpool. Because we had no power I couldn't go to the store to get the paint. (If there isn't power then they can't "shake" my cans of paint.) While Kray was putting together a sample necklace, I finished taping Jessie's room. When I was finished, I went down to the craft room and we finished up the Mexican-American War. Yes, the American's won and we have our southern boarder.

I took the older two to Boy Scouts about 20 minutes after the power came back on. Too late for something warm for dinner (at least for those two).

We ended the day watching a "Good Eats" DVD. I picked one up at the library and we can't get enough. I now have to recorded it on our TiVo. Darn!

No a bad day--too bad I didn't get the kids science test in; but that will happen tomorrow.

Doreen
