It truly is amazing how much you can accomplish in just a short period of time. In less than two hours, we finished our science unit, talked about the timeline of slavery, did a couple grammar pages, reviewed for a spelling test, did a reading lesson, did some math review (I'm helping solidify their multiplication recall), and I'm sure there is something else we did, but I can't remember right now because we did so much.

Chris wanted to read so I read with him. Jessie colored in her coloring book.

We had recesses and lunch and then I left for my therapy session. When I came home the kids were outside playing. (It has been a wonderful week.)

After dinner and clean up we watched the first two hours of a documentary titled "Slavery, and the making of American." My kids actually sat through it and it was very informative. I love to use documentaries to help bring "stuff" to life. There is no way I could give the knowledge that they share to my kids. I do not have the time to research all the stuff nor do I understand all the extra stuff needed to give a full picture.
