Maddening Monday
If you read The Back Dor then you will know what kind of a day I have had. It started at therapy. It was a very painful session. I came home and Steve was putting on a coat of paint in the kids room, Chris was at the piano. I got the kids together (except Chris) and we started on a grammar test. Mike didn't finish before he was called to his lesson. The other children were given assignments (except Math as we had Home Teachers last night and I was too tired and I just didn't get them assigned). Kray was supposed to get his last merit badge all typed up for the counselor on Wednesday. Jason had math assignments that he didn't do. They also all had a reading assignment, vocab and a spelling list to go over.
When all the piano lessons over we had a quick lunch and then did a lesson on "DNA." We are in the middle of module on "what is life" and we put together some DNA. We used pipe cleaners and pony beads to make them. I’ll post pictures as soon as I get them off the camera.
Jason has violin lesson in the afternoon and then we cleaned up the house. I have a HUGE project going on--painting kids' bedrooms and we have a mess upstairs which makes it hard to keep contained, but we try. I'm also rearranging the storage room so you can only guess at what a mess we have in our home.
We had dinner and a FHE lesson on dinner table manners. Called it a night as I am very tired and in lots of pain. I wanted to start our slavery unit today, but I it just didn't happen. I'm not prepared enough to jump into this unit. I will spend a lot of time tomorrow doing more research, hopefully we can get something going on Wednesday or Thursday.
