Ever want to be a fly on the wall in a homeschool "class room?" Well, this blog will give you just that chance. I promise no fly swatters. Of course everything is copyrighted.

Fun Friday
We had an oral test for our last science module; the kids are really understanding this stuff (WHEW!). Next week we'll talk about "life." We then did a grammar lesson, vocabulary list (four more words), spelling review test, reading lesson, and we talked about our next unit, slavery.

The kids then messed around the rest of the day, reading and practicing their music. I think they spent a good couple of hours outside making a good mess (hopefully Steve will be patient with the mess). I was waiting for a friend who was supposed to come over and chat about homeschooling, but she didn't show up. I ran to the library to pick up a bunch of books (I'm maxed out on my hold on all four cards--80 books!). I also dropped Jessie off at a friend's house to play and maybe spend the night. I hope she gets all the girl stuff out of her system for at least 24 hours because when she comes home tomorrow we are painting.

I got home just in time for Kray and Steve to run to Issaquah to run another pinewood derby. The other kids played Xbox (it is Friday and Xbox can be played from Friday, 5 pm to Saturday 11:30 pm). I spent the rest of the day updating my website and researching for our next unit.
