Helaman's Academy

Ever want to be a fly on the wall in a homeschool "class room?" Well, this blog will give you just that chance. I promise no fly swatters. Of course everything is copyrighted.

Today was a typical Wednesday--at least at the beginning. I went to my scripture class and Jason and I helped in the nursery there and we had a great time. Jason was wonderful! He played with the children (all boys today) and the time flew by. I was so impressed by Jason. As a mom I need these little glimpses into my children's characters.

I came home to kids in the back yard tearing down more vegetation that needs to come down. They are trying to earn money. I'm in the middle of an excellent book so I let them stay out there and work and had a lunch. They came in for lunch and then they wanted to watch a movie. I promptly feel asleep.

I did the cub scout carpool today and when I got home, I still was in the middle of my book and the kids wanted to play so I let them. They were also working in the back yard trying to rid our "forest" of the blackberry bushes.

We then went to a BSA Court of Honor.

Tonight I will be watching a documentary on slavery to preview it for tomorrow's school time.
