Summer Vacation

We haven't take a proper summer vacation this year. Instead we have been schooling all summer; one way or the other.

Of course we have been pulling down a deck and then trying to put it up. We have been finishing a general science class as well as continuing our unit on the Civil War. I was hoping to have the Civil War completed but we didn't quite get it done, but we did get the science part done.

We put away the math books for the month of August but we will be picking them back up very soon.

My big concern has been putting together a curriculum for my soon to be high schooler. I'm still working on it as there is much to be done, but it is a start.

I'm excited for the new school year to start as I have many plans--as always, but I'm also nervous because I know I'm very good at a great start but I have a terrible time at finishing.

Here's hoping I have a strong finish.
