Summer Break

We have been having a wonderful summer break. We have had Cub Scout Twilight Camp (I went all four days), family reunions, yard work, and lots of fun!

We have also been doing some school work. We are on "summer" schedule and because it has been really too hot during the middle of the day we have been doing a bit more, but don't tell the kids that. We have been walking our way through the human body and just have the nervous system left. I will try to squeeze it in between Boy Scout Camp and Kray's Super Activity. I honestly don't think we can do it, but I'm going to try anyway. We have also been watching all the Civil War documentaries and movies we can.

I have been reading up on both subjects and I have to tell you, I sure knew nothing about the human body and the Civil War. I am very thrilled to learn about both subjects.

We have been having fun too. Two weeks ago we went to Vashon Island and painted fences, had a picnic, swam in a pond and had a great time. We will be going to Jetty Island this Friday and I'm sure it will be just as much fun as it was the last few times we went. We have yet to have a bad time. We have torn down a deck and are waiting to put one back up. We have trimmed bushes, cleaned the house (more times than we want to) and played in the park.

We have had a blast while on Summer Break.
