Today was a unique day and was a great day. My oldest two boys are in a teen group called LYTTS and they put together a Easter Egg Hunt for the local homeschool group. It was held in Renton, about 30 minutes south from our home and on the way we played the license plate game. I had the kids try to add the numbers of the license plates before we either passed them or they passed us. I challenged the older kids to use multiplication. It was great!
The egg hunt was wet, windy and cold but the teens were great! They put together some songs and games for the kids and were going to do some crafts, but the wind was too much. They then hid the eggs around the playground (the ducks had "litered" the grass so we couldn't hide them there).
On the way home we played the license plate game again.
We stopped at the car dealer to have my lights checked and the kids went "shopping." they actually had some great lessons on what the real price of the car is.
When we got home I had the kids help clean out the car or you could say we are looking for overdue library books. After that we went to the library to get more!
Fun day!
